My husband and I loved being able to talk with all the other "moms and dads" Compairing notes was great.. Even my two legged children had a good time...I can't wait to see the pictures.. Thanks again. I'm sure I'll talk to you soon....Kimberly

Love your site!  We have a wonderful brindle gal named Maya.  We adopted her 3 1/2 years ago from Rocky Mountain Great Dane Rescue...we will be celebrating her 7th birthday next week...taking her to her favorite vacation spot - The Lodge at Vail - they welcome dogs - no size limit and even have a "pet menu" on their room service menu!  We read about poor Moose and would love more info!

I have a very sweet 3 year old brindle, I would love to come to one of your reunions even though my little girl wasn't from your kennel. I would love for her to be around "her people". Do you invite outsiders? She's very social and loves to play.

Miley is doing great with her new sister Morgan (dane), Miley is such a love bug, she follows Morgan everywhere and she even went potty outside just by following Morgan! she should be so easy to potty train! all of your dogs are beautiful and I really do believe the attention you and your husband give the dogs really make an impact on their personalities.. I couldn't ask for a better pup. thank you again!

Our "Midas Jr" is doing well.  He is the son of your "Midas" and Annika (litter 10/25/07).  His favorite spot is on our bed, but he is so big that he knocks one of us out of the bed when he stretches.  He prefers to stay close to us, especially when outside.  However, he is always eager to meet a new friend (whether the dog or person is interested or not).  He has been easy to train in puppy obedience school.  He still has his moments of defiance and mischief.  He seems to prefer eating wood chips and wood trim over bones, so we're working on that.  Mostly, he's a lovable and loyal dog that just wants to please his family.

Seven + years ago we received our beautiful black "baby" boy, Alodar, from Penrose and what a constant blessing he has been for us ever since.  I was a little uncertain at the time of such a big dog (I was 6 months pregnant with our first child), but my husband, having had Danes before, assured me I would fall in love.. and he was oh so right!!  We have three children now 7,5 and 2 (four if you count Alodar who we refer to as our oldest) and it's amazing to watch them all interact.    Alodar, in all his regal splendor at 170 lbs, has no concept of his size, but truly lives up to the 'gentle giant' mantra.  And talk about a Daddy's boy... he loves us all, but his Daddy is the one he worships!!  Alodar is a member of our family and anyone intimidated about bringing a Dane into a family of children shouldn't be.  It's really not about the size of the dog... it's about the amount of love you share!!!  I stop in periodically to check out the puppies and today just needed to say "Thank you" again for blessing us with Alodar.

We brought home Vader from Magic and Noble litter.  We have had him for 5 months now, what a great dog!  It was a great and easy experience dealing with Terri & Bobby and there dogs are great!  He was easy to potty and crate train, and loves kids (since we have 4 he has been raised with).  Our cat is still getting used to him, as he likes to chase her whenever he sees her.  Great Danes are great dogs, and Penrose is a great place to get them.  Enjoy!

Almost 4 years ago, we got one of Emma's and Sullivan's, pups, our wonderful "little" Paris.  We have had several dogs, but Paris is our first, "lap" dog!  We had no idea how sweet, affectionate, and lovable Danes could be.  Paris is an "attention hog" as well as my husband's constant shadow!

We anticipate getting another Dane and will definitely contact you when are ready for another "lap dog!"

Lucy lives to her name because she is the LIGHT of our lives!!

Hi!

I saw the comment from Shelby's family (Lacy/Strider).  Just wanted to let you know that her sister Bristol is happy, healthy and doing well.  While my golden retriever knows she is a dog, "B" is quite certain she's a princess and can usually be found sprawled out in the most comfortable place in the house (even if it means sneaking onto the leather sofa in the middle of the night).  She has filled out well now at two but is still has all the puppy spunk, and is out racing around the yard most days determined to catch one of those pesky squirrels.  We love her dearly.  Thank you again for such a wonderful addition to our family.

I just wanted to update you on Remus (formerly Athos of Malachi/Bayleigh).  He is such a delight!  It has been nearly 4 years since we adopted him and he is a cherished member of the family.  He is best buds with our Boston Terrier, of course the terrier is boss.  Remus is so patient and gentle with him.  He is also bossed around by our kitten.  The kitten loves to lay on Remus' bed, which makes Remus run for the hills!  The cat will stretch out across his bed and taunt him.  It is really funny.  He is the best running/skiing companion too!  We hit the trails nearly every day...he gets so excited when he sees me putting on my running shoes or ski boots.  He is in great shape, all muscle no fat.  He was skin and bones when we got him and it took nearly a year to get him up to fighting weight but he looks great now & is just so happy.  He sleeps on my daughter's bed and takes up most of it but she loves him to pieces and will not even consider having him sleep elsewhere.  We all love it when he sits next to (or on top of) us on the couch, just like he is another person.  Just wanted to say thanks for such a wonderful dog!!

Hi!  I am a Great Dane lover who doesn't have a Dane yet.  This is not a good time for me to get one but I am always looking for a good breeder for when I am ready to bring a new dog into my life.  After looking at your website I think you are exactly the kind of breeder I have been looking for.  You care so much for your dogs.  I love the contract you have and the fact that you insist on taking back any of your dogs that people give up on.  That shows that you truly care for your dogs and you aren't one of these disgusting breeders who are in it for the money.  Its also great that you help find these adult dogs real forever homes instead of letting them end up at shelters.  I just want to commend you for being responsible dog breeders and say I wish there were more people like you out there.  I have bookmarked your website and when I am ready to get my own Great Dane you will be the first people I will call.

Hi there Terri~
I was just showing a friend of mine Shelby's baby pictures.  And thought I would drop you a quick note.  We are all excited to see pictures of the harlequin puppies.  And I am sure the kids will be anxious to come up and play with them when they are ready.  Shel sleeps the same way grown up now that she did as a puppy.  She is doing very well.  We found out just a few nights ago that she likes to chase snowballs.  She is so much fun.
Hope things are well for you all.

Just happened upon your site while doing some research into Danes.  I've found myself in a similar situation, being a single mom with two young boys.  I've been doing research for about a year now and when I am ready next year for a new family member I'll be sure to look you up when I go visit my sister in Boulder.

Hi Terri,  We just wanted to thank you so much for our new addition.  We picked up our little blue baby from Magic and Nobles litter on Dec.16th.  Wyatt has been an incredible addition to our family.  He loves the cats and wonders why they don't want to play with him.  He loves to eat the snow and will find any dead leaf or piece of grass to pick up.  He has the sweetest personality and makes us laugh everyday with his silliness.  We are already talking about getting him a baby sister from one of your January litters.  Thank you also for all of the time that you spent with us on our first visit.  It really prepared us for Wyatt's homecoming.

Dear Terri & Bobby,
It has been such a long time since I have written, I so apologize.  Dillinger and Madison are doing great.  It is hard to believe they are five already!  Wow how time flies.  Dillinger has become best buddies with our little Jack Russell, Cooper!  It is so cute to see them play and sleep together.  Cooper just loves Dillinger, but then everybody loves Dillinger.  Madison is still the princess of the house!  She was ruled out of Queen hood by our little Bensenji/Italian Greyhound, Lucy Lui.  Lucy is quite the ruler of the house!   It is hard to believe  that our house consists of five dogs!  At night there is not a space to walk in the living room!  Oh yeah, we are down to one kid at home now!!!  Mike and I almost have an empty "kid" house.  That will be weird.  Well I just wanted to let you know that everybody is doing great!  They are just my best buddies!!!  Always free with the nice wet kisses and the can I set on your lap mom?  Hope you all had a blessed Christmas and may the New Year bring you grace, peace, love and blessings all year long!

We picked up our new baby blue Newton on Saturday, November 10, 2007.  He is the most adorable thing that I have seen.  Everyone else thinks so too.   We will keep you updated on his progress.  He loves to play with the cat toy more than his own - he also loves the paper towel rolls and cardboard boxes - and let's not forget the dead leaves outside!!  Thanks for our beautiful little boy.

Bobbi and Terri,

I wanted to touch bases with you and let you know how things are going with Mike.  When we brought him home, you would have thought that he lived here all his life.  My canine girls (Cheyanne and Sandy) had no problems upon Mike's arrival.  In fact, Cheyanne and Mike have already established quite a relationship.  As soon as I can find the cord for my camera I will send pictures.  He is eating well and getting a lot of attention.  We are excited to get some weight on him and see how healthy he can be.  He always has a smile on his face.  We took him to the Petsmart and he picked out his own new bed and toys.  He met Zuess and Daisy Mae last night (they live 9 houses away) and I think they will be great playmates.

I want to say thank you for giving our family the opportunity to expand with Mike.  He has the sweetest personality.
We all look forward to seeing you at the reunion.
