Inquiring about some blue girls. I hope we may be right for them and they for us! We've searched 2 years before deciding on a breed and have fallen in love with blue danes.

Thank you for letting us come down yesterday to check out the puppies.  From the pictures alone, we were rather smitten with Loki, but actually getting to see him, well, I think we fell in love with the "little" guy.  He is such a pretty boy.  And Roo and Noble are gorgeous.  Too bad the snow made us leave so quickly!  It was a heck of a drive back up (4hrs) to the Springs, but it was well worth it.  I cannot wait to pick Loki up in two weeks!

People find soul mates in one another every day. But it is not often that you find a "soul mate" in a dog. Well I was blessed enough to find such a match in my great dane, Dexter. He has been gone for four years now and I miss him as much today as the day he was put down (liver failure). I still cry when I'm alone and I have been unable to look at another Dane without shedding a tear. I was on line researching other breeds, when I couldn't help but google Great Danes. Just a glimpse, I promised myself.
That's when I came across your site. Your puppies are beautiful and it reminded me of a passage I read in a dog book last week...Once you have a great dane in your life, you will always want a great dane in your life. The writer was right. As soon as I can find financing I hope to add a Penrose pup to my family.

Hi,  I was curious as to how much your puppies cost.  We just lost our baby Thor (9yrs) to cancer today, we love the breed and would like to have another.

Thanks

Just wanted to say Hi!  It's Clydes 6th Brithday today!  He's from the Maclayne/Zeus litter of 2 on 3/5/2003.  I can't believe our little boy is 6, that makes Loki almost 7! Clyde is doing great!  He's healthy and loves being a big lazy couch potato.  Hope all is well with you.

Terri,

We are so happy with our new family member, Clarence.  He fit right in immediately and it is almost like we always had him.  Kara (our special needs Dane) is very happy to have him here.  Both dogs recieved a spa treatment today including a shampoo, conditioning and massage.  Clarence can now walk on our wood floors after getting a toe nail clipping today.  They will be ready for Christmas company and festivities.

Hope Bobby isn't working too hard on the house and again, Thank you for a wonderful Dane.

Warmest Holiday Wishes,

Kristopher, Jennifer, Julianna, Kennedy, Eleanor, Clarence, Kara, Drake (just the cat).

Hi Terry and Bobby!

Our beloved Angus is 11 weeks old today! He has already brought so much joy and laughter to our family, even in this short period of time. He is learning very quickly and is beginning to understand the 'sit' command. Our Jack Russell Terrier named Marichka adores him and they are the best of friends. We are so happy with him and we will keep you updated on his progress. Thank you for our big beautiful Angus.

Just dropping you a note to let you know that Dillinger and Madison, now six years old are doing wonderful in our new home.  They moved to Loveland with me in May.  So it is just the three of us now and we are loving life.  We have made new friends with a black lab/newfoundland mix named Daisy along with two Austrilian Shepherds name Solo and Milly.  All five get along great, but it is a house full of dog!!  I still look back at their baby pictures and can't believe that it has been so long since I got them.  Seems like yesterday.  So Dillinger and Madison say HI!! and give you hugs and kisses.. as only a Dane can do.
Blessings,
Sherri

Hey Pamela & Mitchell:
I also have a dane from Emma & Sullivan's litter from 4 years ago. I guess they are Brother & sister! Ironically, you named yours Paris & ours is Troy! I thought you might enjoy knowing that Troy is also very loving and our giant lap dog, but when it comes to his Daddy there is nothing that can distract him from leaving his side, not for a second! I am the one who does all the training, feeding, etc. and he loves me but his dad is the apple of his eye! When I read your comment, I thought, whew... It's not me! lol. If you see this post I would love to see some pics of Paris!
Thanks, Katie in NY

Take care!

Hello,
It sounds like all is going well on your end, sorry to read about all the people that just give up on animals.  We still have Cooper our Boxer that we got from you many years ago, I want to say he is 9 years old now.  Still very spoiled and still as cute as ever, if you send an email to me I will send you some of the cutest pictures of him.  We  have since adopted another boxer, she is brindle and flashy and she is 4 years old, they get along great, she is always fussing over Cooper. We are very greatful that you were breeding boxers at the time we got him.  He has had a lot of trips to the emergency vet because he likes to eat everything!  He has eaten sheets, blankets, carpet, trash from the bathroom, a corn cob that thank god they were able to get him to throw up or it would have meant surgery, he is like a little baby, we have to watch him all the time.  He looks so happy when he gets a hold of something and then miserable after he eats it!  Very funny boy!!  We always say he must be part cat and that he has nine 9 lives!!  God Bless you, We love him very much and just wanted to thank you again for him!

Our "Midas Jr" is doing well.  He is the son of your "Midas" and Annika (litter 10/25/07).  His favorite spot is on our bed, but he is so big that he knocks one of us out of the bed when he stretches.  He prefers to stay close to us, especially when outside.  However, he is always eager to meet a new friend (whether the dog or person is interested or not).  He has been easy to train in puppy obedience school.  He still has his moments of defiance and mischief.  He seems to prefer eating wood chips and wood trim over bones, so we're working on that.  Mostly, he's a lovable and loyal dog that just wants to please his family.

Seven + years ago we received our beautiful black "baby" boy, Alodar, from Penrose and what a constant blessing he has been for us ever since.  I was a little uncertain at the time of such a big dog (I was 6 months pregnant with our first child), but my husband, having had Danes before, assured me I would fall in love.. and he was oh so right!!  We have three children now 7,5 and 2 (four if you count Alodar who we refer to as our oldest) and it's amazing to watch them all interact.    Alodar, in all his regal splendor at 170 lbs, has no concept of his size, but truly lives up to the 'gentle giant' mantra.  And talk about a Daddy's boy... he loves us all, but his Daddy is the one he worships!!  Alodar is a member of our family and anyone intimidated about bringing a Dane into a family of children shouldn't be.  It's really not about the size of the dog... it's about the amount of love you share!!!  I stop in periodically to check out the puppies and today just needed to say "Thank you" again for blessing us with Alodar.

We brought home Vader from Magic and Noble litter.  We have had him for 5 months now, what a great dog!  It was a great and easy experience dealing with Terri & Bobby and there dogs are great!  He was easy to potty and crate train, and loves kids (since we have 4 he has been raised with).  Our cat is still getting used to him, as he likes to chase her whenever he sees her.  Great Danes are great dogs, and Penrose is a great place to get them.  Enjoy!

Almost 4 years ago, we got one of Emma's and Sullivan's, pups, our wonderful "little" Paris.  We have had several dogs, but Paris is our first, "lap" dog!  We had no idea how sweet, affectionate, and lovable Danes could be.  Paris is an "attention hog" as well as my husband's constant shadow!

We anticipate getting another Dane and will definitely contact you when are ready for another "lap dog!"

Lucy is doing AWESOME!! She is the most easy going puppy I have ever seen, had, or heard of. She loves her big human brothers and her four legged sister Molly. She listens perfectly and has been very easy to train!!She loves her two daily walks and all the attention that she gets.
Lucy lives to her name because she is the LIGHT of our lives!!

Hi!

I saw the comment from Shelby's family (Lacy/Strider).  Just wanted to let you know that her sister Bristol is happy, healthy and doing well.  While my golden retriever knows she is a dog, "B" is quite certain she's a princess and can usually be found sprawled out in the most comfortable place in the house (even if it means sneaking onto the leather sofa in the middle of the night).  She has filled out well now at two but is still has all the puppy spunk, and is out racing around the yard most days determined to catch one of those pesky squirrels.  We love her dearly.  Thank you again for such a wonderful addition to our family.

I just wanted to update you on Remus (formerly Athos of Malachi/Bayleigh).  He is such a delight!  It has been nearly 4 years since we adopted him and he is a cherished member of the family.  He is best buds with our Boston Terrier, of course the terrier is boss.  Remus is so patient and gentle with him.  He is also bossed around by our kitten.  The kitten loves to lay on Remus' bed, which makes Remus run for the hills!  The cat will stretch out across his bed and taunt him.  It is really funny.  He is the best running/skiing companion too!  We hit the trails nearly every day...he gets so excited when he sees me putting on my running shoes or ski boots.  He is in great shape, all muscle no fat.  He was skin and bones when we got him and it took nearly a year to get him up to fighting weight but he looks great now & is just so happy.  He sleeps on my daughter's bed and takes up most of it but she loves him to pieces and will not even consider having him sleep elsewhere.  We all love it when he sits next to (or on top of) us on the couch, just like he is another person.  Just wanted to say thanks for such a wonderful dog!!
